Over these years, I’ve learned that success is often a combination of luck and consistency. As I tackle year four, after two particularly challenging years, I’ve been preparing for the next chapter in unconventional ways. One of those ways is through Reiki, and I want to share that experience with you, my GBL babes.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy healing practice that promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. On September 1st, I had a session with Reiki healer Melissa, and it was a deeply restorative experience. During the session, Melissa used her hands to channel healing energy into my body, helping to balance my energy and remove blockages. It was deeply relaxing, and I left feeling lighter and more in tune with myself.
My Experience with Reiki
The session was simple yet transformative. Melissa created a peaceful atmosphere with soft lighting and calming music. I lay fully clothed on a massage table while she placed her hands gently on or just above key areas like my head, shoulders, and stomach. As she worked, I felt warmth and a soothing flow of energy, helping me release tension and stress.
Reiki works by promoting relaxation, clarity, and emotional release. For me, it was a reset button, allowing me to refocus and recharge. The benefits aren’t just physical—they’re mental and spiritual too. After my session, I felt more centered and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
